“My Favourite Holiday Experience” – by Noble Gamde.

Holiday is a time when you are not at work or school. You can say that holiday is a period of rest. It is also a time when people spend their days doing personal things with little or no restriction from parents or place of work. During holidays, people usually travel to places.

My favourite holiday experience was in December 2018. My entire family travelled to the village. On our way from Port Harcourt, we made a stop at a hotel in Enugu State where we lodged for some days. In the village, we enjoyed a lot Christmas festivities, had fun, saw traditional dance steps and relished traditional delicacies such as ‘Bhantar’ soup.  Bhantar soup is a delicacy prepared with green zobo leaf, groundnut, green leaf, fresh chicken meat, dried fish, fresh tomatoes, fresh pepper, onions, crayfish, seasoning cubes and salt.

In fact, when it was time to return to Port Harcourt, I felt a bit sad. This is because the experience was so wonderful.

Our journey back to Port Harcourt started on 1st January 2019, when we left the village to Jos. We spent a couple of days at Jos before heading back to Port Harcourt.

I enjoyed this holiday because I learned so many things about my culture and played with my relatives. One of the most memorable things I enjoyed was going from one state to another; Rivers to Enugu, Plateau to Benue, Anambra to Imo. The best of all was my siblings and I doing so many fun things as we were travelling. My holiday was a fulfilled holiday.
